“ I had lunch here with a friend recently. I ordered their lunch special veal parmesan, an amazing value for around $20. It was delicious, crispy, covered with plenty of cheese, very tasty, and and came with some spaghetti, as well as soup or salad. I was happy with the meal, and will certainly be back to this wonderful place. Finally, Chris our waiter, provided wonderful, attentive service. :-) ”
“ Nice service and attentive, the food was good and reasonable. I love spaghetti and this can come w meatballs. we'll be back ”
“ Tried this place after reading about it in the La Mesa newspaper. It did not disappoint. First off, it is a charming little place with great ambiance. Our waitress, Misty, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was excellent. They include amazing garlic knots as a free appetizer, and the dishes we ordered tasted very fresh. Not overly seasoned so that you could actually taste the ingredients. I definitely plan to go back. ”
“ If I could take 1/2 a star off, I would to be more accurate but I dont feel guilty giving them. We started with a baked brie. The brie came out in a scorching cast iron. The bread was perfection but the brie tasted microwaved. It had a strange taste. Almost like the oils had separated entirely from the brie. The edges were hot but the middle was cold. I wouldnt order this again. The minestrone was delightful. Each carrot bite was full of flavor and it warmed the belly. The veal parmigiana was a bit on the thin side to where I was concerned that there was no veal at all. However when you got to the middle it was a treat. This dish was my favorite. The sautéed veggies were perfection. The linguini carbonara was also very tasty. No complaints here. It was a dream and the pancetta was the perfect saltiness. I wasn't a big fan of the peas but I hardly noticed it. We ordered the manicotti but it was underwhelming that I didn't bother taking a picture. They did bring us garlic knots with a very pleasant marinara sauce. Ultimately, id say give it a try. The server was attentive and polite. There were a lot of older people (60s) enjoying their dinner and they all seemed quite satisfied. We ordered two glasses of their red wine. One was a basic Lambrusco and the other was an aromatic red blend called the Highlands. Highly recommend it. It paired well with the veal.. The price for everything was $118 without tip. ”
“ The food here is incredible and the staff is exceptionally professional and friendly. Best Italian food, outside of maybe Italy. Our waiter, Chris G should be teaching a class to other waiters on how to be a professional waiter. This is the best lasagna I've ever had. ”
“ Good service and great food. If I could, I would eat here every single day. I'm new in town. Definitely coming back with friends and family. ”
“ Under the new ownership much improved!!! Food was exceptional and music took me back to my childhood. Misty & Chris the servers are phenomenal! And the tiramisu... oh my ”
“ Very cute place. Small and Intimate. Great food. Very friendly staff. Medium priced. Very end of a small strip mall. ”
“ WHEN IN ROMA!!!!! Bravo Bravo Bravo!! I normally would tell my readers to not come to this restaurant because I want it all to myself. But in this case I'm too late, with all the awards and packed house, I think the neighborhood knows that little Roma is Top 5 dead or alive. Little Roma does this magical thing that most restaurants can't do without compromise, they hit the sweet spot of price of food and quality ingredients. The food is top tear, seriously so authentic boasting with fresh Italian flavors, fresh made pasta with fresh bread, and not a single dish over $30 when I really love a place and they don't miss I don't tell people what I love the most because from the bottom of my heart it's all good especially the appetizers . You can blind fold yourself, spin around take a shot of tequila, have a whistle blown in your face, and STILL not pick a bad appetizer. So do as the old saying says When In Roma Try it all! We Love Little Roma!! ”
“ I'm surprised at the 3.5 rating this gem has. From the moment we walked in, Misty greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel at home. The place feels very italian with its scenic mural on the wall that depicting some of Italy's landscape. Although we hadn't been there before, Misty made us feel like we were regular customers. Misty took our drink order and we also ordered their garlic knots. The drinks came and we placed our order. Our garlic knots came after our lunch order and they were amazing! Just the right amount of butter and garlic, a nice bite on the outside with soft dough on the inside. My lasagna tasted homemade every bite was flavourful filled with meat, cheese, pasta and tomato sauce. My wife ordered the chicken piccata. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of capers, and artichokes. It had a hint of lemon and the chicken was moist and not overcooked or dry. We will definitely be returning to this place. ”
